What decides whether it lasts
Not the paver. The base.
Arkansas goes through dozens of freeze-thaw cycles a year. Water gets into the ground, expands, lifts, then lets go. A patio laid on thin or poorly compacted base moves with it, and you see that as settling, lipping between units and a cracked slab by the second or third winter.
We excavate to depth, grade for drainage, and compact in lifts. It is the part of the quote you cannot see and the part that decides the outcome.
Pavers, flagstone or stamped concrete
Pavers flex with ground movement because they are individual units, and a single damaged one can be lifted and replaced. Large-format with turf or gravel joints reads modern and drains well.
Flagstone is irregular and natural. It suits older properties and wooded lots, and it is the most labour-intensive to lay well.
Stamped concrete gives you pattern continuity across a big area at lower cost per square foot. It is a slab, so it lives and dies by its control joints and its base.

Pavers or stamped concrete?
Pavers if you want individual units that flex and can be lifted and replaced. Stamped concrete if you want one continuous pattern across a large area for less per square foot. Both work here when the base is right.
How long does a patio take?
Depends on size, access and whether there is drainage work. You get a real schedule at the consultation rather than a guess on the phone.
