The approach is the first thing anyone sees and the last thing anybody plans.
Driveways carry weight, walkways carry the eye
They are different jobs. A driveway needs base depth and a surface that can take a vehicle through a freeze-thaw winter. A walkway needs to make sense of the route people already walk.
The most common mistake is a path that goes where the designer wanted rather than where the feet go. Watch where the grass is worn before you draw anything.
Large-format with open joints
Slabs set into turf or gravel are the current look and they earn it: water goes through the joints rather than running off, the planting softens the geometry, and individual units can be lifted.
They need a properly prepared base to stay level, which is the same story as everything else on this site.
Lighting and edges
A path used after dark needs light at ankle height, not floodlights. Edge restraint keeps the geometry from creeping outward over a few seasons.

Where
How thick does a paver driveway base need to be?
Deeper than a patio, because it carries vehicle loads through freeze-thaw. The exact depth depends on soil and use, which is what the site visit is for.
Pavers or concrete for a driveway?
Pavers flex with movement and can be lifted and reset. Concrete is one continuous surface and lives by its joints. Both work here when the base is right.
Can you match a walkway to an existing patio?
Usually. If the original material is discontinued we will say so rather than hoping you do not notice.
