Why the deck is not an afterthought
Most of the time you spend at a pool, you are not in it. You are on the deck beside it. Coping, surround, walkways, shade and where the furniture goes decide how the whole thing feels.
When a pool company builds the pool and a landscaper builds the deck later, the levels rarely agree, the materials rarely match, and the drainage becomes somebody else's problem. We design both at once.
Raised spas, sheer descents and detail
A raised spa gives you a water feature, a seat wall and a spillover in one element. A sheer descent adds sound, which matters more than people expect in a yard with neighbours.
Waterline tile, coping and the stone face are where a pool looks expensive or does not. They are also the details that date fastest if they are chosen badly.
Four seasons around water
Decking has to drain away from the pool and away from the house. Coping has to survive freeze-thaw. Equipment has to be sited so it can be winterised without crawling through planting.

Where
Do you build the pool and the patio?
Yes, and that is the point. Designed together they share levels, materials and drainage. Built separately they usually do not.
What is a sheer descent?
A wide, flat sheet of water falling from a raised wall or spa into the pool. It adds movement and sound, and it masks road and neighbour noise.
Can you work with an existing pool?
Yes. Deck replacement, coping, retaining and structures around an existing pool are a large part of what we do.
