Patios, Walls & Outdoor Living in Siloam Springs, AR
Patios, retaining walls, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, pools and walkways built across Siloam Springs by one team, on one schedule, for ground that freezes and thaws.
Built by one team, about thirty minutes away
Siloam Springs has the best older housing stock in Benton County and the most character to work with. Brick, stone, real proportions and gardens that were laid out when people still expected to spend time in them. That rewards restraint: natural stone, honest detailing and a layout that respects what is already there.
It is the furthest west we go, about thirty minutes from the yard, and we are honest that it sits near the edge of our range. We take work there because the projects are good, not because we are trying to cover the map.
The Illinois River corridor means some properties have drainage considerations that a flat suburban lot never will, and that is worth establishing before a design exists rather than after.

What is under Siloam Springs
Siloam Springs sits on the Springfield Plateau, and that decides more about your project than any material you pick.
You are on the Springfield Plateau here, which means the Boone Formation is under you: Mississippian limestone interbedded with chert. Where the limestone has dissolved out, what is left behind is red clay full of chert fragments, and where it has not, rock turns up a foot down when the plan said three. That is a karst landscape, so sinkholes, springs and voids are all normal features of it rather than surprises.
What it means for your project is that excavation is the line on the quote most likely to be wrong. Hitting rock changes the method, not just the hours, and a contractor who priced a flat dig and then finds chert at eight inches has two choices, and only one of them is telling you. It also means drainage has to be designed rather than assumed: water in a karst landscape finds a route, and if the route runs under your new patio you will find out in the second year.
Siloam Springs runs its own permitting through the city. The usual distinctions apply between an at-grade patio and a covered or serviced structure, and older properties near the historic district can carry additional considerations worth checking early.
Outside the city limits it becomes a Benton County matter, where detached Group U structures in unincorporated areas have not required a building permit since November 2023, though pools and attached structures still need permits.

Siloam Springs is about thirty minutes from our yard in Cave Springs, near the downtown historic district and the Illinois River. That closeness is deliberate: we stay inside roughly twenty-five miles so that being on site the same day is a normal thing rather than a favour.

Do you build in Siloam Springs?
Yes, across 72761, though at about thirty minutes it is near the western edge of our range. We take the work when the project suits us rather than to fill the map.
Can you match hardscape to an older house?
That is the main reason to hire someone for a Siloam Springs garden. Matching stone that has weathered for decades, and getting the proportions right against an older facade, is a design job rather than a catalogue choice.
Does the river affect what I can build?
On some properties, yes. Where a site drains and whether it sits in a floodplain changes the design and sometimes the permitting, which is why the site visit happens before the drawing.
Are you too far away to look after the job?
Thirty minutes is the furthest we go, deliberately. Beyond that we would rather say no than do a job badly at distance.
What should I use on an older property?
Usually natural stone, usually laid with restraint. Large-format contemporary paving can look superb on a modern house and wrong against a hundred-year-old brick facade.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, through Acorn Finance, who will go through the options with you directly.
